My dorm just had a screening of it downstairs (alas there weren't that many people), and GOD, I CAME. Bellamy can KILL with his guitar. And and and THEY GAVE OUT FREE LARGE POSTERS.

They had a raffle... AND MY ROOMIE WON A FREE COPY OF THE H.A.A.R.P CD/DVD >o< !!!!! She asked if I wanted it, and I went, "KEEP IT. I AM PROUD TO HAVE CONVERTED YOU." I'll prolly end up buying a copy myself... XD;; It is worth keeping.

This totally made up for my shitty day. I got lectured by my employer for my recent poor attendance due to the classes yet fail to inform her in advance. I'm on the 3rd strike... *sigh guiltily* I want to keep working, so must do better.

On other notes, just when I expected Clapp to criticize my comic on Wednesday, he actually gave me a pat in the back and said "Good job on it!" I literally heard "A~~LLELUIA~" above my head. Sleeping at 6AM was worth it then, tho that's why I missed my working shift. -_-;

Clapp's gonna compile all 2-pg comics from each class into one anthology and print copies at KINKOS, $6 per book. I want one. XD That's like 70+ comics. Everyone worked so hard on them, and it's great to see so many different styles, to be part of this energy.

This weekend shall be living hell. I want this month to end.

So. Took a 2-hr nap before I went with my roommates to watch Made of Honor night show; my roomie wanted to watch it for Patrick Dempsey. Personally, I'm not a chick flick person at all, but since I kind of dismissed a few other movie invitations already, I inclined this time. Chick flicks, IMO, also aren't worth the movie ticket when there are other movies far more worth seeing on the large screen.

The movie was cute, kinda cheezy and predictable, as most chick flicks are... but the Scottish scenery/architecture and music were just so MAJESTIC *_*~ Someone dump me into Scotland already ♥ The idea of a man being 'maid of honor' was an interesting idea though, and the movie certainly had loads of jokes spin off from it.

If I had a choice, I'd much rather go watch Iron Man(!) or maybe Forbidden Kingdom, and I want to see Prince Caspian when it comes out.

Ooookay, sleepy.

Ｓプロジェクト<HSide> is coming out with her SECOND ReboLam anthology *_*~~~~! It seems practically every title that has been scanlated so far (DILETTO INCLUDED ♥) is in there, along with an extra story. YESSSSSS. When it comes out, must buy it so that anthology vol.1 won't be so lonely on my shelf. ♥ Ah, it is nice to have a paycheck. （＊´∀｀＊） Maybe I can buy COPIC now too. ~~NO. Save, retard.~~

Didn't sleep the whole night for cramming. Now my head is just spinning. Ah well, kinda brought it to myself... for various, spontaneous reasons like moe-ing ~~and gaming~~. SO. Today at 6PM was the Shrunkenhead Man's (our Animation/Illust program club) D-Day! Basically, it's an annual drawing ~~session~~ competition where certain students are dressed up and are the competitors as well as the models xD! They get a minute to draw. The audience are the voters on whose drawing's the winner, and the loser becomes the next model for the next group. SO CROWDED AND CRAZY, but SO WORTH IT. I soooo regret that I didn't bring my camera! The MC was this guy in tuxedo and boxers. After the icebreakers, the competition started.

AND GUESS WHO THE FIRST CONTESTANTS WERE.

Link vs. Legolas: AHHHHHH XD!!! When the Twilight Hyrule field music played, and the MC described him as someone who has "elven ears" and is "blonde," I FLAILED and shouted "LINK!!!" before anyone else said anything. And not just any Link, TWILIGHT LINK. *buries self* Then the MC gave the exact same description to Legolas, and we all just laughed. "Link" and "Legolas" flirted with the audience and even the MC himself xD;;; *dies* SO. AHEM.
I...ended up borrowing Kira's camera and took pics of them at the end xDDD

えへ～～～～～んｖｖｖヽ(^∀^*)ﾉ I loath the inner fangirl me sometimes. Makes me talk so incoherently. It's not even the first time I've seen cosplay... but the unexpectedness in this event made me all giddiful.
Then came Rush Hour: Jackie Chan vs. Chris Tucker XD The hilarious thing was that their ethnicities were switched. Chris and Tony were dressed up as them.
Next up was Spongebob vs. Mickey Mouse. Toon versus toon XDD Oh gawd, the joke was so bad... toward the end, someone appeared on the stage dressed as "Minnie" with a baby stroller... and the baby was a sponge with mouse ears, implying Minnie had an affair with Spongebob. SO WRONG. OW MY HEAD.
Then came Graphic Design vs. Fine Arts 8D;; A staff from the Fine Arts department and a staff from Graphic Design appeared on stage with their own tools. We laughed sooooooooo hard at Fine Art's side XD;; He didn't even draw the model. He splat paint on the drawing pad, then ripped it into pieces and called it "art," parodying the fine arts.
After that, it was Dave Chai & student vs. John Clapp & student XD;; FYI, they're both valued instructors in the Animation/Illust department. They had wigs on and fake beard rubbles. Dude, I almost didn't recognize John XD;;
Next. Star Wars vs. Indiana Jones I believe XDD They apparently decided to make Indiana Jones bi because he kinda stole the guy from the Star Wars team away suggestively. (actually, the subtle gay jokes kind of rippled throughout the whole skit) Jake, a very talented upperclassman, played Jones. The cowboy hat suited him!
Finally, the 90's slackers vs. Courtney & Bunny Courtney and Bunny are advisors of the A/I department. Bunny was throwing out donuts to the crowd!

By the end, all the contestants were dancing with each other. That totally lifted my mood, definitely. Now I want to resume Twilight Princess ;_; And then I hung around with Bryan, Kira, and her friend Luba for a while in the art building. I'm not in any better situation in terms of assignments, but it certainly helps to just talk and be with peers to elevate any stiff moods.

@ tonight's Supernatural: I QUOTE (I probably got it wrong), "You showed me how... even gay love can overcome death." Corbinett was cute tho. Poor guy.

X_X Cramming two midterms' materials in one night yesterday was like trying to digest eight pounds of potatoes. Did fine on the Health Science one... but Asian Americans... completely BSed the last essay. I'll be lucky if I pass. Next time, /no/ massive gaming before exams. It doesn't help I can only game in weekends.

SPEAKING OF GAMING, I think I will die from squealing, or other fangirl-related casualties, if I continue to play Twilight Princess and SEEING SO MANY LINK CLOSE-UP's on a 20 45" (?) TV. ♥ I MEAN IT. God, Link stop ~~unintentionally~~ looking like such a heartthrob. (I take it back. You don't even have to do anything, and you look like one already.) Even when the older lady (Telma, was it?) is flirting with you, all you can do is give that...that...SMILE. And you're such an animal magnet. And kids love you. AHHHHHHHHHHHH 萌え♬ So my squeal is delayed by a year and half. Leave me alone. Our Wii is only 4 months old.

I really should be a little more task- or goal-oriented. I'd like to think I'm doing fine this semester... but it -art classes in particular- ignited more insecurities than enlightenments. Not sure whether it means I have to work harder, or I'm just made of phail. What else. My roommates and I are going to have a fondue night this Thursday. Fanime still hasn't replied to my question regarding the artist table "waiting list". *rolls eyes*

Orphaned Work: Serious Copyright Issues?. Article from US Copyright Office.

Okay, I realize that the intention for this bill is probably a good one... but er, not everyone can afford to pay for copyright registration.

Watermark/signature is a minimal step, but with so many image manipulation methods these days, it's not secure enough. One protection is to have a high resolution of your pic. That should be a logical argument that the artwork's yours? Within the digital world anyways.

But before this is blown out of proportion... on the bright side, even IF they will pass the law, at least there are fair measurements, such as "acting in good faith and diligently searching for the owner [of the artwork]" before the user can really purchase the untraceable artwork.

And this is assuming someone is rich enough to buy it, and assuming the artwork is good enough. 8D;;;

I'll go study or game.

So for the past few days, I've been on an Ocarina of Time nostalgic phase... xD; It's all Brawl's & TP's fault. As if my recent playlist isn't proof enough... Ahhhhhh the OoT bgm's were EPIC. I love loved the ocarina pieces that Link played with Sheik *_*~~ I miss the game so much! It's been, what, 10-11 years now? Wow.... And then, and then, plug from shahni... IGN's April Fool's Prank: Legend of Zelda Movie. Dear God, that was a cruel, CRUEL joke, but did they do a good job on it xD;;; I confess, Link should be younger and more boyish. Zelda's quite gorgeous though *_* LOL at Ganon. Not too sure about Malon. Epona's pretty~~ And is that supposed to be Impa? Zelda Movie.. DO WANTS!! Ahh m00_chan~ here's the Epona Song sung by Emiko Shiratori xD! Thought you might be interested.

Other nostalgia I had was listening to the Soul Edge: Khan Super Session soundtrack few days ago. Despite the improved graphics of the Soul Calibur series, nothing can beat Soul Edge/Blade's intro: Edge of Soul. Oddly, the game peaked my interest in the 16th century world, and I was also studying world history in elementary that time. xD; Ahhhh... good times.

Ooookay. Now I'm off the sketch or... homework. ~~Or get distracted.~~ I went Indoor Skydiving yesterday. And the SquareEnix + deviantArt contest does seem pretty cool. Why does the deadline have to be so SOON? = =

1) Spring break. I haven't exactly been productive...

3) .......my last hours as a teen. Wow, I've been breathing for XX years.

As a brief cap of my break:
[last] Saturday: BRAWL
[last] Sunday: Badminton with mom and sis; left me walking like a penguin for days.
Monday-Tuesday: Work. I stayed overnight at my dorm and watched Pocahontas alone.
Wednesday-Friday: Research paper. Mostly the research cuz we know finding and reading through the sources always take long. Thursday night, I went to my sister's Interact Club night event.
Saturday: BRAWL. Went on BART to SF to sketch. Got sidetracked by Jtown..
Sunday: Reink comic for class. BRAWL.
Today: Bootcamp homework. BRAWL.

Should I be shocked to find a 5 year-old little girl at Kinokuniya, whose mom permitted her to look at ecchi artbooks? Speaking of artbook, I permitted myself to buy Minako Iwasaki's artbook because I found myself really liking the book. I'll pretend it's bday present for myself. XD; I'm surprised she's not prolifically known... Her artwork is gorgeous!

Random Phoenix Wright fanart there. lol

And then occasionally I was uhm... doing thumbnails for a ReboLam doujinshi. Actually it's based off of picnicbird's story, as she let me draw the fic. ^//^; At page 6, I'm stuck at the paneling. Gah, how do artists do it...? Man, doing comics for class made me forgotten the freedom of making any comics at all, when the comic is completely under my control and not drawn to please an instructor.

Man I should sleep. I had forgotten I have class tomorrow.

Plugging this because Totoro is the symbol of my childhood and is turning 20 with me. Not only does it share the same production year and month as me, but the date as well. That's right. Today is Totoro's birthday too (though it was released on the 16th)! ♥
