Very, very last minute little stuff for Fanime. Last year some requested more chars... so... here's Marth, Sheik, and Sonic (lol Sonic is so out of place there XD;;). I wanted Marth to have more of an evil glare, because Marth in my mind is...ahaha.... alas...XD It's hard to make them the same feel as the previous set. Can't believe that's a year ago already.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I guess the best way to say it, as my instructor would have put it, I had a "large rat to digest." Had a lot to think about, and suddenly they're all just bamming together. Classes/projects, trying to keep up my drawing mileage, down to 6-10 weeks of the semester, work, the Paris trip stuff need to be wrapped up, Fanime's approaching, searching for an apartment for next semester... To bring the mood down more, it also doesn't help that some of my favorite Japanese fansites are disappearing one by one when they were kinda my stress relief eyecandies T_T; And after getting in the program, I started reflecting on myself, trying to realize my own drawing weaknesses, which I found a lot of. I keep thinking I wish I had found these weaknesses sooner instead of now, wish I was as motivated and skilled as my peers. It's just a lot to take in and come in terms with.

Ah, two Paris meetings ago, my professor had us all say out loud our guilty pleasures to everyone as an exercise to be honest with ourselves. And.....I actually said to everyone, "Homoerotic stories/pictures are fascinating." There. My advisor now knows this side of me. W-which means permission from him on expressing it through art 8D;; But needless to say, everyone had some really odd ones, and there's a very strange trend of guys having peculiar hygiene guilty pleasures XD;;;; It was VERY interesting... This will definitely be a fun group of people. On the same note, because we have 9 free days in Paris after the class is over, some of us are thinking about traveling to Ireland~

Still haven't recovered from jet lag yet. The first two days I couldn't sleep until 5AM, then yesterday I passed out by 10PM. Best 10 hours of sleep since weeks ♥ Huuu... getting sleepy again.

Finally touched Twilight Princess again yesterday, b-but next time I decide to break for 2 months from my file, let it not be in the middle of a temple. I was like, "WHERE AM I @D@;;?" Annnd, I will finally BRAWL to my heart's content this summer... *sneaker* though I wonder how many are still up for it. T-T I'm also itching to draw some Brawl gags I have in mind.

Oh yah. Kinda bummed that artist tables even at Ycon is out... ^^;... ah well. Now I know these things require months of head prep.

And among Sonic, PKMN Trainer, and Lucas, which two should I draw? I'm trying to represent each series at least once, but will people be interested in the latter characters xD;?

I'll start coloring after I wake up. So doomed. And it's prolly too late to order cello bags. TT;

Yesterday I bought a mini Christmas tree and a set of lights for our dorm, because everyone is so busy with studies that the Christmas spirit has no room to kick in... so I thought, at least we should have a mini Christmas something :3 They decorated it with cut-out snowflakes ♥ Now that's more like it!

• Figure Drawing class yesterday: Eeee so much fun XD I am positive I'm going get a lot out of this class. We had our first model yesterday, and ( ... ) I forgot my ruler in the beginning, and then I forgot it again at the end of the class, had to run two extra trips. STUPID RULER!


• Gahhh. 2 chapters of history reading for Asian American Studies to do night. I'm so happy it's Wednesday already. Art History is nice though because the textbook is so full of colorful artworks. I love when a spread is 3/4 pictures and 1/4 text XDD *GRINS* What else... Art50... too many talented people!! *have to work harder* So exhausted.


• I'm completely hooked onto ファミリー ～約束の場所～ it's not even funny because I'm beginning to remember the lyrics....... The song is so SAPPY, yet it's so... collective ("Family," ne?) and fun ♥ X3 It's one of those songs that, no matter how bad of it day I had, even if some characters unintentionally sound like dorks, the song's melody cheers me up. Is like the Reborn gang's just having fun karaoke night; it's not meant to be sung properly XD; I wanna draw them singing.


• Although I'm not so familiar with the PoT playlist, I'm really hooked onto Inui (Kenjirou Tsuda)'s "Kaze no Yukue" *_*~ The very subtle goto playing in the background (God knows why)... the mellow-ness and his deep voice make me think of the sunset, something that always calms me down. Probably this AMV's influence. That towel part was so cute~ Anyhow, does anyone have the mp3 of this song ^_^;;? Seems like pretty rare.

Sorry I have been spamming with artworks in progress. I just... haven't had this art energy for so long. ♥ Have been so busy sulking about what I can't do that I forgot momentary what I can do. So... will stick with it while it lasts. I don't regret too much for putting it priority before assignments since I'm usually last minute anyways. This is considered productive and meaningful to me. I hate when I wasn't able to produce anything.

Her OC Shen and Edriel ♥ I tried to mingle with pen & ink to practice some more traditional medium... still not too skilled yet. There was a lot of whiting out in the process. *sweats*

Although I had 3 BL pairings to choose from... somehow the chemistry between these two appealed to me the most. We're talking about a naive forest boy who is half-suicidal but still good-hearted and has a dead squirrel for companion, and a tomboy elf with an attitude but likes to dress like a princess when no one sees. AND while they are stubborn to each other, they're still willing to sacrifice for each other. Now that's a lot of fun sparks. XD ♥

I should start on some homework.

Le sigh... I took Math Level 2 and Chinese w/ Listening for SATII today. WHY did I study for Mandarin... and not Math... when today, I struggled like hell on Math... and breezed away with Chinese?
