Digressing... I officially moved into dorm today. As for the housemates, we're down to 5 people, since one moved out. My roomie seems really sweet, but she and her friend (another housemate) seem to be party-goers, so I fathom the room is gonna be pretty quiet if they're out all the time (like now). Her friend, though nice, has a dirty mouth and is very loud. And then there's my housemate from last year, and her roomie this year is really nice :D Apparently she's a Jrock fan and a Graphic design major.

Not ready for the semester to start tomorrow. I'm debating whether to drop Japanese in order to accommodate Advanced 112B (time conflict). But... I need an easy class cuz Art113A is gonna be hell. Not sure of the difficulty of Art28.

Edit: Oh right! Few days ago, I was randomly listening to the Christian rock channel Klove, which I normally don't, and found a really nice song. I was like, "Oooo he can sing :O" Apparently he was the 10th place winner for 6th season of American Idol (which I don't follow). At first glance, one would not have guess he could sing, but he definitely can.

So uh. Random Brawl rant again. xD Hehehe so Milkjelly's most recent post, she's fangirling about the oversea dubbing of Brawl, and I was giggling so much! She goes "KAKKOYOSUGIRU!!!" on Ike, thought Pit's is fine despite being lower pitch than her expectation, and was slightly disappointed to see that Marth and Link were kept in their original. XDD I don't want to imagine Link being dubbed;;; But yeah, the fact that Marth is the only one with a Japanese voice (Midorikawa~) is so inconsistent, but guess that's because his FE series aren't licensed *glares at etherealdark XD* Ah she used "KYな" to describe Marth. What does that mean? I thought it'd be similar to "OG" is to 王子, but I can't figure it out.

It's interesting to see the other point of view since in our perspective, we usually complain about the redubs and cheezy lines. Milkjelly says she wants to play the oversea version of Brawl now XD *giggles* I was reading the nicovideo reactions, and some still like the original voices better but lots found the foreign voices cool. In the end, I guess both sides find the other exotic, resulting similar reactions.

Ah but her previous entry mentions a "smash bros only event" taking place next year February: 大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズオンリーイベント『大乱闘祭』. Ahh I wanna go ;____; I love webclapping to her because she gives the silliest , most expressive responses XD I asked if she had ever considered printing doujinshi since (1) her site's one of the most prolific SSB/Zelda sites, (2) she's able to churn out ideas just like that, and (3) her style's just so pretty ♥. Milkjelly said she doesn't know how to but would like to ;-; Gah... pity! I would love if she released something. But I don't blame her too because I have not the slightest clue on doujinshi releasing.

What else... so I've been practicing on Rock Band as guitarist, and I'm keep messing up on the song "Welcome Home" on Hard mode!! *fists* But it's sooo fun, and the song is very catchy and dramatic~~ I will master Hard one day. The guitar part is so fun xD I'm proud of the progress, considering I only started last month.

This totally made up for my shitty day. I got lectured by my employer for my recent poor attendance due to the classes yet fail to inform her in advance. I'm on the 3rd strike... *sigh guiltily* I want to keep working, so must do better.

On other notes, just when I expected Clapp to criticize my comic on Wednesday, he actually gave me a pat in the back and said "Good job on it!" I literally heard "A~~LLELUIA~" above my head. Sleeping at 6AM was worth it then, tho that's why I missed my working shift. -_-;

Clapp's gonna compile all 2-pg comics from each class into one anthology and print copies at KINKOS, $6 per book. I want one. XD That's like 70+ comics. Everyone worked so hard on them, and it's great to see so many different styles, to be part of this energy.

This weekend shall be living hell. I want this month to end.

SO. Today at 6PM was the Shrunkenhead Man's (our Animation/Illust program club) D-Day! Basically, it's an annual drawing session competition where certain students are dressed up and are the competitors as well as the models xD! They get a minute to draw. The audience are the voters on whose drawing's the winner, and the loser becomes the next model for the next group. SO CROWDED AND CRAZY, but SO WORTH IT. I soooo regret that I didn't bring my camera! The MC was this guy in tuxedo and boxers. After the icebreakers, the competition started.

AND GUESS WHO THE FIRST CONTESTANTS WERE.

• Link vs. Legolas: AHHHHHH XD!!! When the Twilight Hyrule field music played, and the MC described him as someone who has "elven ears" and is "blonde," I FLAILED and shouted "LINK!!!" before anyone else said anything. And not just any Link, TWILIGHT LINK. *buries self* Then the MC gave the exact same description to Legolas, and we all just laughed. "Link" and "Legolas" flirted with the audience and even the MC himself xD;;; *dies* SO. AHEM.

By the end, all the contestants were dancing with each other. That totally lifted my mood, definitely. Now I want to resume Twilight Princess ;_; And then I hung around with Bryan, Kira, and her friend Luba for a while in the art building. I'm not in any better situation in terms of assignments, but it certainly helps to just talk and be with peers to elevate any stiff moods.

@ tonight's Supernatural: I QUOTE (I probably got it wrong), "You showed me how... even gay love can overcome death." Corbinett was cute tho. Poor guy.

X_X Cramming two midterms' materials in one night yesterday was like trying to digest eight pounds of potatoes. Did fine on the Health Science one... but Asian Americans... completely BSed the last essay. I'll be lucky if I pass. Next time, /no/ massive gaming before exams. It doesn't help I can only game in weekends.

SPEAKING OF GAMING, I think I will die from squealing, or other fangirl-related casualties, if I continue to play Twilight Princess and SEEING SO MANY LINK CLOSE-UP's on a 20 45" (?) TV. ♥ I MEAN IT. God, Link stop unintentionally looking like such a heartthrob. (I take it back. You don't even have to do anything, and you look like one already.) Even when the older lady (Telma, was it?) is flirting with you, all you can do is give that...that...SMILE. And you're such an animal magnet. And kids love you. So for over 2 hours this evening, my sister and I played the Smash Bros Brawl "Subspace Emissary" again. AHHHHHHHHHHH XD

WE WENT NUTS ON THE PART WHEN KIRBY SAVED LINK AND YOSHI FROM GETTING CAPTURED ♥ (AND THEN LINK SHOT HIS ARROW) And how them and Mario & Pit teamed up. AND THEN AND THEN. How they met up with Marth, Ike, Lucas, and the Pokemon Trainer. 8D! I absolutely love reunions of parties. OH and the princesses cracked me up. I love how Princess Peach offered a cup of tea to both Shiek/Zelda and Fox to resolve their fight, and then they had tea on top of the spaceship. Btw, I also liked how Peach giggled at Sheik, as they were escaping, since it's Zelda in "disguise". We're at 45% of the stages ♥

Okay, so it went something like this.

I was in my Art112A class, and since I forgot my sketchbook for that class, I had to take notes with my doodle-whatever-I-want sketchbook. During class break, Genni (pronounced "Jenny") asked to look at my sketchbook, and I was a bit reluctant since it is my random shit sketchbook, but I let her see anyways. And well xD;;;; I er... do have my practicing ReboLam sketches inside (it's kind of sad, considering I haven't completed even one drawing for my OTP), and my biggest fear was needing to explain the BL aspect. And suddenly she asked me in Cantonese, "You read Reborn too??" I went, "Yah, you keep up with it too??? Wait, you can tell?" She recognized first glance at my doodles lol. Then we ended up having a Cantonese conversation about Reborn, in which Tim went "You guys aren't speaking English, right?" The funniest part was when she said "Tsuna而加好uke啊!" If I had something in my mouth, I would have spit. It was fun, but still too weird and surreal to have this conversation in the middle of class. xD;;; Actually, I rarely talked about fandom in Chinese conversationally before either, so that was new. We also discussed about the awkward shounen!DBZ pacing, what Tsuna's gonna do in the final battle, and how's Lambo gonna catch up... and my brain took some time to process when she actually said "六道骸" instead of "Rokudo Mukuro" xD; I'm just not used to hearing the name in Chinese pronunciation. And we both went, "I want to see adult Reborn....!" But yah, that was pretty amusing. So I take it she wasn't weirded out by my doodles xD; I mean, they're all worksafe, but still...

What else... as my roomie have rubbed Lifehouse goodness on me, I was showing her Muse lives to get her more sucked into Muse songs, and she loved them 8D! Dude, I will catch Muse on tour one day, I WILLLLL. I NEED to see Matt Bellamy raep rock his guitar, jumping all over the stage, and hear his gorgeous falsetto... then hear Chris' nice harmony and see Dominic pound those drums.

I shouldn't have eaten that ice cream drumstick during midnight. For this week's comic, we find a well-known comic cartoonist and copy his strip. Man, I was dumb to have chosen Hal Foster, but my are his b/w works amazing. Although comic, they almost seem to have an illustration aspect to each panel ♥

Oh yah, AAS essay due Thursday. Can't wait for this week to be over.

Today: Sketched at the mall with Sal and Kira from 9:30AM to 5:30PM. Okay, maybe half of the time we were looking for good landmarks and/or socializing/eating.

I'M THINK I'M TIRED.

I feel bad for not going home this weekend, especially since my dad's birthday is tomorrow... But you know, this is what I need for motivation - sketching and traveling with friends, watching them. Hate to say this, but... honestly, home just doesn't provide that.

So uhm, back to the mall. AHHHH. Peak moment is... there was this Chinese 8yr old boy who came by while I was sketching, and then he said "You must be a professional!" AHHHHH little kids have the purest comments ever T_T I complimented him for taking art classes every Saturday. Then, sitting next to me, he asked if I could draw this booth that was selling Valentine's Day chocolate. As I was sketching for him, he asked if I knew Charlie and Chocolate Factory; then somehow it went to Avatar XDD He said his favorite character was Prince Zuko, and I went "Me too!" Then he asked about Zuko's scar, about the fire nation, and the element benders... and it was just AHHHH TOO CUTE ♥ His parents came to pick him up around 10-15 minutes after. But GAHHHH. This makes me want to be an elementary art teacher XD; So... CUTE CUTE CUTE.

Now... Reborn ep.69. DUDE. How did they change Lambo from the manga to THIS OUTFIT (is he wearing undie at all..?)? It spells outrageously ghey and... samba (pineapple's fault?). 蠢牛越來越笨啦~~ =口= 一定是里包恩幫他選的 xD;......... and the worst part is that I'm MOE-ing?! I mean, why not? Totally ghey, but I still bought the fanservice. (口水) I miss the random appearances of the dumb cow~ Does that mean yukata!Lambo will be in the next Shou-chan episode *_*? 萌え~~

My mom's order of the Wii came in 2 days ago with the controllers, Wii Sports, and Mario Galaxy. Gonna get Zelda: Twilight Princess tomorrow because I've been wanting to play it ever since it came out. ♥ ♥~~ It's gonna be so strange using two controllers as shield and sword.

There's only a little more than a week of break left, but I'll play the remain of it. I didn't realize how fast the break went, seriously. Had loads of stuff planned to do but now it seems impossible to fulfill them all ;_; My fault for sleeping half of the day away.

Aside from the slightly overdone shonen line of "I choose my own path/life" by the main character, the quirks in the series is great amusement! I'm especially amused at the "hairy ass" bit...

Well right after the Xmas dinner, the past few days I suffered from indigestion, including the sudden chills and heartburn... It's better now, although still kind of hurting. Antacid and 7up worked though ♥ :D!

I was debating whether to buy one of those ReboLam doujinshi's on LJ or not... since I want to save up for kitmun-jie's artbook. Right now I'm still at a deadlock TT;;

So after debating a while, I decided to make an art blog: asaphira 8D; I actually hogged the username a while ago for claim sake's and nothing else. I kind of want to change my artsite's name to "Itsa Sfera" now o_o; Originally I wanted to just use my fic archive for art as well... but converting it to a community was impossible without deleting the entries/comments.. WHICH I DON'T WANT. I'll see if I wanna put future fics in there... but I feel bad for neglecting sushiwrites.
