Portfolio Over. OVER. The last ounce of strength, the second time awake for 24 hours this week. I fell asleep at work today, and my boss let me off early; I ended up napping for 4 hours. Lately the sorethroat and coldsores have been increasing. But... Oh God. I submitted, and I fear the outcome. Clam and Tony said it only takes around a week or two to get the results up on the wall, and that is so not enough time to give breathe relief. A good number of classmates I'm friends with have applied as well; deep down inside I know I'm not on par with them, and I don't know if I'll be mentally prepared to know I won't being sailing on the same boat as them. It's hard to stay enthusiastic even when I know I've at least tried.

A little late for Prop 8 rant, but seriously, California. By definition of "traditional" marriage, we mind as well go back to traditional, right? Like, wed for reproduction and not for romance. Like, young girls get wedded and impregnated to death by old men. (That means pedophilia was valid ages ago, huh?) Oops, that means I'm too old to get marry now. HARHAR. Seriously, definition of marriage has evolved countless throughout the course of history. Just decades ago, inter-racial was considered taboo as well. I'm truly disappointed that the civil movement of this era, the one this generation's living through, is losing. Granting the happiness of others won't hurt anyone. It's not like het couples are setting good examples to the world anyways these days. This country should stop being hypocritical and having beliefs dictate the law. If it wants to promote Constitutional, fundamental rights are for everyone, then LIVE IT.

Okay, time for Sheldon's homework... I hate always cramming it last minute. I hate this perpetual cramming in all of my classes in general and how my division of attention to them all is -lately- completely reflecting on the outcome of my assignments. I hate how I was foolish enough to tackle three studio classes plus a writing class (100W), just for the sake of moving faster. (Ironically 100W seems to be the class I'm actually doing well on when I care about it the least) I hate how I get accused of cramming last minute by choice, how I'm not working hard enough, when I'm barely sleeping just to even complete (not excel on) every assignment when the advisor said it would be manageable. I hate the reality that they're just merciless.

Now completely off-topic, I extremely LOLed on this. A little belated Halloween spook.

I really wanna go but I'm sooooooo out of practice *cries* And there are all the assignments.

I skipped 113A class in the morning today to sleep because I stayed up all night to write my essay on the film Crash. Either I go zombie, or I save my sanity. Somewhere deep inside I kind of regret going to Frank Gladstone's lectures, as that could've been two FREE work days... but then another voice argues back cuz his lecture was so worthwhile and educational. But... there are only 24 hours in a day. Now everything's pushed back.

Oddly enough, the professor "love the theme" of the essay when she looked through it. So weird. I thought it would suck because everything was last minute. I'm beginning to think that cramming an essay the night before it's due is like taking LSD to write good lyrics.... or something.

So uh. Random Brawl rant again. xD Hehehe so Milkjelly's most recent post, she's fangirling about the oversea dubbing of Brawl, and I was giggling so much! She goes "KAKKOYOSUGIRU!!!" on Ike, thought Pit's is fine despite being lower pitch than her expectation, and was slightly disappointed to see that Marth and Link were kept in their original. XDD I don't want to imagine Link being dubbed;;; But yeah, the fact that Marth is the only one with a Japanese voice (Midorikawa~) is so inconsistent, but guess that's because his FE series aren't licensed *glares at etherealdark XD* Ah she used "KYな" to describe Marth. What does that mean? I thought it'd be similar to "OG" is to 王子, but I can't figure it out.

It's interesting to see the other point of view since in our perspective, we usually complain about the redubs and cheezy lines. Milkjelly says she wants to play the oversea version of Brawl now XD *giggles* I was reading the nicovideo reactions, and some still like the original voices better but lots found the foreign voices cool. In the end, I guess both sides find the other exotic, resulting similar reactions.

Ah but her previous entry mentions a "smash bros only event" taking place next year February: 大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズオンリーイベント『大乱闘祭』. Ahh I wanna go ;____; I love webclapping to her because she gives the silliest , most expressive responses XD I asked if she had ever considered printing doujinshi since (1) her site's one of the most prolific SSB/Zelda sites, (2) she's able to churn out ideas just like that, and (3) her style's just so pretty ♥. Milkjelly said she doesn't know how to but would like to ;-; Gah... pity! I would love if she released something. What else... so I've been practicing on Rock Band as guitarist, and I'm keep messing up on the song "Welcome Home" on Hard mode!! *fists* But it's sooo fun, and the song is very catchy and dramatic~~ I will master Hard one day. The guitar part is so fun xD I'm proud of the progress, considering I only started last month.

So much Link crack, gag, pairing, and pure randomness 8D She comes up with something practically every day. Just take this for example, in which Link tries to cheer up/understand Midna. Don't choke on the ending *cracks up* It's her site's 2nd anniversary, and she's been liking this combi lately. Can't believe myself either. *shot ♥*

Saturday: BRAWL. Went on BART to SF to sketch. Got sidetracked by Jtown..
Sunday: Reink comic for class. BRAWL.
Today: Bootcamp homework. BRAWL.

Should I be shocked to find a 5 year-old little girl at Kinokuniya, whose mom permitted her to look at ecchi artbooks? Speaking of artbook, I permitted myself to buy Minako Iwasaki's artbook because I found myself really liking the book. I'll pretend it's bday present for myself. XD; I'm surprised she's not prolifically known... Her artwork is gorgeous!

And then occasionally I was uhm... doing thumbnails for a ReboLam doujinshi. Actually it's based off of picnicbird's story, as she let me draw the fic. ^//^; At page 6, I'm stuck at the paneling. Gah, how do artists do it...? Man, doing comics for class made me forgotten the freedom of making any comics at all, when the comic is completely under my control and not drawn to please an instructor.

Man I should sleep. I had forgotten I have class tomorrow.

Oh yes.

Plugging this because Totoro is the symbol of my childhood and is turning 20 with me. Not only does it share the same production year and month as me, but the date as well. That's right. Today is Totoro's birthday too (though it was released on the 16th)! ♥

So for over 2 hours this evening, my sister and I played the Smash Bros Brawl "Subspace Emissary" again. AHHHHHHHHHHH XD

WE WENT NUTS ON THE PART WHEN KIRBY SAVED LINK AND YOSHI FROM GETTING CAPTURED ♥ (AND THEN LINK SHOT HIS ARROW) And how them and Mario & Pit teamed up. AND THEN AND THEN. How they met up with Marth, Ike, Lucas, and the Pokemon Trainer. 8D! I absolutely love reunions of parties. OH and the princesses cracked me up. I love how Princess Peach offered a cup of tea to both Shiek/Zelda and Fox to resolve their fight, and then they had tea on top of the spaceship. Btw, I also liked how Peach giggled at Sheik, as they were escaping, since it's Zelda in "disguise". We're at 45% of the stages ♥

Okay, I wanna draw something BRAWL now.

...Maybe after I catch up the daily sketches for 112A. Oh God, I barely touched them.
