Bonjour~ I'm at the computer lab of the dorm right now just recovering from a fever.

Have to say that I seem to be jynxed to get sick in Paris X_X;; Last year I had to see a local doctor because of strep throat, and this year also my throat but including runny nose and fever... The weather has been fluctuating from hot sun to cold rain, but I was perfectly healthy before Sunday... until that night I drank white wine that night. In the beginning, I thought I was just coming down with a flu or cold or something, but all the runny nosing and sorethroat literally started that night within an hour after a substantial glass of wine. I thought they formed too rapidly to be a normal cold. So I have come to the deduction that I might be allergic to white wine or some specific ingredient(s) in it...Not that I want to test it out right now; maybe after the trip. So I went to the pharmacies yesterday, and the medicines are working like magic, though I'm still weirded out that the throat medicine application was rectal route. ORZ

Yesterday, in addition to the fever, I lost one of my grey COPICs midway, and it's the second time I lost that color. I also locked myself out when it was pouring yesterday. Sickness makes one delusional! I even saw a totoro in a droplet on the wall during shower. BUT! Aside from all my misfortunates, all the EXCITING adventures that we had so far can be found at http://sjsuparis2009.blogspot.com! Despite me complaining here, many self-conscious moments, and the great amount of walking (my jeans are already getting loose), it's been a very enlightening trip so far. I'm really enjoying it, and I can't believe it's been a week already. I enjoyed Museé d'Orsay so much more than the Louvre ♥ Will show pics when I get back. Or for now you can look at last year's photos, which I uploaded but never reported ^^;;;

Anyways, so I'm taking a day off to recover... I found out that my housemate bailed out from dorming with me next semester in an apartment.... so now that's another thing I have to worry bout when I get back. Great.

ANYWAYS! Onto the good off-topic stuff, MIYAZAKI IS COMING TO BERKELEY on July 25 *____________* And and and NEW WII ZELDA CONCEPT WORK ZOMG.

So it's for the Wii... and they made Link right-handed in the artwork too... BUT WOW. If this Link is a new Link, he looks like the child of Ocarina Link and Twilight Princess Link (●´Д｀●)♥ He looks more grown-up than before. And the silver character a living incarnation of the Master Sword? AHHH can't wait for Spirit Tracks and THIS.

So good-news? Well... after the Paris class is over, Kira and I and two guys will be going to Ireland. Oh the Irish music glory! That's gonna be my official vacation. Although I'm still asking myself, "Why am I traveling with such talented people!?"

OH! And my mom gave me a DSi for birthday present! Eeeeehh! So I'm happily playing a Kirby game and Phantom Hourglass right now. Oh God, Toon Link is so adorkable!

EHEHEHEHEHE XD The past Thursday was my mom's birthday, and this was her cake because she loves Kirby!

Anyhow, so to elaborate what I meant on "ocarina" yesterday was this: For Ocarina of Time's 10th anniversary a month ago, TheHylia.com hosted a contest, which is simply to answer the question "What does OoT mean to you?" The top prize was an Ocarina of Time replica from Songbird Ocarina (Nintendo Power regulars have probably seen their ads); 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places receive the Extended Range Sweet Potato XL Ocarina, Extended Range Sweet Potato, and Sweet Potato respectively. I figured, nothing to lose, so I entered. It seems like there were several "Honorable Mentions," who although aren't in the top 4, still won a Fairy Ocarina (which is essentially the Sweet Potato but red instead of blue) from Songbird. I won one *_*;~ Songbird is so generous. It's not only a Sweet Potato, but an Extended Range one too!


Before I get to the review, please note the following: I only have very, very basic music background, neither am I an ocarina collector. So I lack the credibility to really give a well-rounded review in that respect, but I'll do my best.

Yesterday at 3:03AM, I finally beat Twilight Princess at around 76 hours (what a terrible time) ♥ Epic battle and ending! I even dreamed of the Hyrule Castle.

Digressing... I officially moved into dorm today. As for the housemates, we're down to 5 people, since one moved out. My roomie seems really sweet, but she and her friend (another housemate) seem to be party-goers, so I fathom the room is gonna be pretty quiet if they're out all the time (like now). Her friend, though nice, has a dirty mouth and is very loud. And then there's my housemate from last year, and her roomie this year is really nice :D Apparently she's a Jrock fan and a Graphic design major.

Not ready for the semester to start tomorrow. I'm debating whether to drop Japanese in order to accommodate Advanced 112B (time conflict). But... I need an easy class cuz Art113A is gonna be hell. Not sure of the difficulty of Art28.

Edit: Oh right! Few days ago, I was randomly listening to the Christian rock channel Klove, which I normally don't, and found a really nice song. I was like, "Oooo he can sing :O" Apparently he was the 10th place winner for 6th season of American Idol (which I don't follow). At first glance, one would not have guess he could sing, but he definitely can.

On Friday, hung out with kyraensui, mingmingcheong, and hellmaster05! Tho in the end we didn't watch movie, we played Rock Band Wii at my house. Played all day yesterday too. It was teh awesome. 8D Butchering the vocals is my forte.

Also bought the Zelda Four Swords+ mangas at an impulse. xD The four five Links are so fun, what with their different personalities... I love Red and Blue's little fights, but Shadow Link's development was the highlight. I need to get OoT vol.1 in Japanese... the one we have is the Chinese version, and I can't find it anywhere else, so I wanna keep it in fair condition.

Let's see, I finished looking over the Geography midterm stuff. I actually enjoy the material for the class a lot. It reminds me one of my earliest passions in elementary school was earth science (somewhat geography then). I remember borrowing so many books about rocks and minerals from the library ^^; Well that is until high school where my academics in science rock bottomed (no pun intended). Actually there wasn't anything in particular I excelled on.

My classes for Fall is still not completely figured out yet, but I'm just keep avoiding it. This won't do... *losing sight*

So. AX has started.

My dad kindly got a new tablet for me, a spare, so I don't need to carry the incoming Wacom back and forth. WHEE. 4.5x5 is actually not bad. Decided to try it out~

So much Link crack, gag, pairing, and pure randomness 8D She comes up with something practically every day. Just take this for example, in which Link tries to cheer up/understand Midna. Don't choke on the ending *cracks up* It's her site's 2nd anniversary, and she's been liking this combi lately. Can't believe myself either. *shot ♥*

CRAP. I forgot Link's sword sheathe strap. OH. And sword is in wrong hand... Ohhhh for composition sake. ORZ

Saturday: Donated blood.

Sunday: Went karaoking with my mom, sister, and cousin for 5 hours. Mom sang mostly older Chinese songs, my cousin sang mostly R&B pop Chinese songs, my sister and I were all over the place. English, Chinese, Japanese. Surprisingly my voice wasn't warn out. GAH karaoking is so fun!

Past weeks: Have been playing Twilight Princess. I'm almost at the end ;_; *looks at the pages left in strategy guide* Now I don't want to finish it so fast... What will I play after? We just finished sledding with the Yeti couple. They're so cute. ♥ Hehe I keep making fun of -out of love- Link having a small frame.

Monday: Finally watched Ironman. Freakin' awesome. Also, chopped 4-5 inches of my hair off. Now I have fringes after 4 years.

Today: Other than class and work, watching Hoshi no Kirby nonstop. XD It's kid show cheezy -not the best blend of 2D & 3D either- but GAHH KIRBY YOU PINK BALL OF CUTENESS! I'm seriously just watching it for the fuzzy cuteness. Meta Knight is so COOL in it tho *__* He's all mysterious and always watching over Kirby like a mentor. AND HIS VOICE. Gah I wish he wasn't dubbed in Brawl. His seiyuu sounds so... for the lack of better word, "bishounen"-ish and suave. Oh he's Sano in the Hana Kimi drama CD. Of course he would. BUT KIRBYYY. CUTE METER BREAKS. "Poyo~" I'm gonna have the OP stuck in my head.

Finally touched Twilight Princess again yesterday, b-but next time I decide to break for 2 months from my file, let it not be in the middle of a temple. I was like, "WHERE AM I @D@;;?" Oh yah. Kinda bummed that artist tables even at Ycon is out... ^^;... ah well. Now I know these things require months of head prep.

It's making me despise comic making. *CRIES* I could have been catching up sketches or doing Fanime prep, but nooo I'm mind-boggling a project I don't even CARE about.

SO. Today at 6PM was the Shrunkenhead Man's (our Animation/Illust program club) D-Day! Basically, it's an annual drawing session competition where certain students are dressed up and are the competitors as well as the models xD! They get a minute to draw. The audience are the voters on whose drawing's the winner, and the loser becomes the next model for the next group. SO CROWDED AND CRAZY, but SO WORTH IT. I soooo regret that I didn't bring my camera! The MC was this guy in tuxedo and boxers. After the icebreakers, the competition started.

AND GUESS WHO THE FIRST CONTESTANTS WERE.

• Link vs. Legolas: AHHHHHH XD!!! When the Twilight Hyrule field music played, and the MC described him as someone who has "elven ears" and is "blonde," I FLAILED and shouted "LINK!!!" before anyone else said anything. And not just any Link, TWILIGHT LINK. *buries self* Then the MC gave the exact same description to Legolas, and we all just laughed. "Link" and "Legolas" flirted with the audience and even the MC himself xD;;; *dies* SO. AHEM.

By the end, all the contestants were dancing with each other. That totally lifted my mood, definitely. Now I want to resume Twilight Princess ;_; And then I hung around with Bryan, Kira, and her friend Luba for a while in the art building. I'm not in any better situation in terms of assignments, but it certainly helps to just talk and be with peers to elevate any stiff moods.

@ tonight's Supernatural: I QUOTE (I probably got it wrong), "You showed me how... even gay love can overcome death." Corbinett was cute tho. Poor guy.

X_X Cramming two midterms' materials in one night yesterday was like trying to digest eight pounds of potatoes. Did fine on the Health Science one... but Asian Americans... completely BSed the last essay. I'll be lucky if I pass. Next time, /no/ massive gaming before exams. It doesn't help I can only game in weekends.

SPEAKING OF GAMING, I think I will die from squealing, or other fangirl-related casualties, if I continue to play Twilight Princess and SEEING SO MANY LINK CLOSE-UP's on a 20 45" (?) TV. ♥ I MEAN IT. God, Link stop unintentionally looking like such a heartthrob. (I take it back. You don't even have to do anything, and you look like one already.) Even when the older lady (Telma, was it?) is flirting with you, all you can do is give that...that...SMILE. And you're such an animal magnet. And kids love you. AHHHHHHHHHHHH 萌え♬ So my squeal is delayed by a year and half. Leave me alone. Our Wii is only 4 months old.

I really should be a little more task- or goal-oriented. I'd like to think I'm doing fine this semester... but it -art classes in particular- ignited more insecurities than enlightenments. Not sure whether it means I have to work harder, or I'm just made of phail. What else. My roommates and I are going to have a fondue night this Thursday. Fanime still hasn't replied to my question regarding the artist table "waiting list". *rolls eyes*

So yeah. I will... go and get dirty now in charcoal!

So for the past few days, I've been on an Ocarina of Time nostalgic phase... xD; It's all Brawl's & TP's fault. As if my recent playlist isn't proof enough... Ahhhhhh the OoT bgm's were EPIC. I love loved the ocarina pieces that Link played with Sheik *_*~~ I miss the game so much! It's been, what, 10-11 years now? Wow.... And then, and then, plug from shahni... IGN's April Fool's Prank: Legend of Zelda Movie. Dear God, that was a cruel, CRUEL joke, but did they do a good job on it xD;;; I confess, Link should be younger and more boyish. Zelda's quite gorgeous though *_* LOL at Ganon. Not too sure about Malon. Epona's pretty~~ And is that supposed to be Impa? Zelda Movie.. DO WANTS!! Other nostalgia I had was listening to the Soul Edge: Khan Super Session soundtrack few days ago. Despite the improved graphics of the Soul Calibur series, nothing can beat Soul Edge/Blade's intro: Edge of Soul. Oddly, the game peaked my interest in the 16th century world, and I was also studying world history in elementary that time. xD; Ahhhh... good times.

Ooookay. Now I'm off the sketch or... homework. Or get distracted. I went Indoor Skydiving yesterday. And the SquareEnix + deviantArt contest does seem pretty cool. Why does the deadline have to be so SOON? = =

I have one more week of break (only!?)... and a sorethroat just had to come about now =__= It just feels swollen. A bit neck pain on the left.

Anyhow, yesterday I went to SF Jtown with kyraensui (she got me Hibari Xmas card *O*!) and llsicariusll , took sticky pictures (monkey bars!), went to Kinokuniya and did loads of seiyuu/anime fangirling and crying over money spending XD; I still can't believe I bought the PASH and doujinshi! It was a load of fun.

I'm up to the Goron Mines for Twilight Princess. Link sumo wrestling is UTMOST ENTERTAINMENT　ＸＤ! Gah he has such a sweet smile ♥.

Let's see.. oh yes! So hellmaster05 ♥ and I are planning on debuting and sharing an artist table this year for Fanime2008 ♥ I'm still juggling with the procedure and details... T_T; May I ask anyone for help via LJ later on? Very excited though~~!

My mom's order of the Wii came in 2 days ago with the controllers, Wii Sports, and Mario Galaxy. Gonna get Zelda: Twilight Princess tomorrow because I've been wanting to play it ever since it came out. ♥ ♥~~ It's gonna be so strange using two controllers as shield and sword.

There's only a little more than a week of break left, but I'll play the remain of it. I didn't realize how fast the break went, seriously. Had loads of stuff planned to do but now it seems impossible to fulfill them all ;_; My fault for sleeping half of the day away.

OH YAH. Yesterday I started reading Gintama, finally, up to ch.10. It's gonna take a while to catch up... Kagura is so cute XD Gintoki is a cool and dorky character. Aside from the slightly overdone shonen line of "I choose my own path/life" by the main character, the quirks in the series is great amusement! I'm especially amused at the "hairy ass" bit...
